Calculation
of Results
The competitor at the 40th percentile position in the field (i.e.
40% of field finish in front, 60% behind) is given 100 points.
Let his/her time be called T40, and let the time for competitor
X be Tx. The points for our competitor X would be 100 x (T40/Tx).
Thus, as an example, for a race with a T40 of say 90 minutes:
Competitor |
Finishing Time (mins) |
Points |
|
|
|
A |
60 |
100x(90/60) = 150 |
B |
80 |
100x(90/80) = 113 |
X |
90 |
100x(90/90) = 100 |
C |
120 |
100x(90/120) = 75 |
Points
will be calculated using only TPT members.
In
a race with 50 competitors, 10 of which are TPT members, the "field"
size used in the calculations above would be 10.
